Photography: Collaboration

30 Mar

I am very excited to share some news with you. It’s not food related, but in my opinion, just as exciting.

My friend Sandy and I have started a collaborative photography project. We’re both passionate about photography, and decided that the best way to experience this passion is, together. We’ve done a couple of shoots thus far, and have enjoyed them thoroughly. I am really excited to share some samples of what we’ve done so far.

Photography: Beautiful Eyes

15 Aug

I was scrolling through my reader and came across a very interesting post from Yuliya at SheSuggests. She entered a photo contest for a photo of the most beautiful eyes. Beauty, of course, is in the eyes of the beholder. When I saw this contest, I really wanted to share the eyes of our very own restaurant critic extraordinaire.

Win or lose, you can’t deny these are very beautiful eyes.

24 Feb

Foodies, home cooks and chef wannabes…Google is releasing a new search feature, “Recipe View“. I haven’t had a chance to put this tool to use but as soon as I do, I will give more updates.

And since a blog is not a blog without a photo…

…just something to brighten up your day.

Excited About a New Photo Product

25 Oct

I decided that it’s time to play around with various photo products that are available out there. My photo shoot with I, B and A was the perfect opportunity to try out a great photo product…a custom made, photo covered CD case.

I won’t hold you in suspense any longer, here is the first product from DimpleArts Photography!

Sunday Morning continued…

28 Sep

Apparently summer came late this year. Here we are on the verge of October, and experiencing a heat wave. Where is an air conditioner when you need one?

Sunday was just the beginning of this heat, but it didn’t get in the way of my time with the S family. I and B here are a few more from Sunday. Can’t wait for you to see all the shots.

Pure cuteness :)

Family Sunday

26 Sep

Today I had the pleasure of photographing a great family. I and I discussed doing this, literally for months. Finally, after various postponements we were able to get together with I, B and cute little A for a family shoot. A is about 16 months old, and cute as a button. As promised, I, here is a sneak peak from this morning.

SF Chefs 2010

08 Aug

A few days ago I received an email from someone at Visa letting me know about a very interesting food event, which will be taking place in the city of San Francisco the weekend of August 13th to August 15th, 2010. Visa thought, and I agree, that this event would be of interest to the readers of the DimpleArts Photography blog.

The event, SF Chefs 2010, will be held in Union Square, San Francisco, and will be celebrating the local flair and regional flavors of San Francisco. This premier food, wine and spirits event will offer opportunities to interact with notable chefs, mixologists and culinary personalities. Participating chefs include Gary Danko, Tyler Florence and Thomas Keller, among others. SF Chefs 2010 will support the Golden Gate Restaurant Association Scholarship Foundation, which grants financial scholarships to students from the Bay Area entering culinary and hospitality programs.

Pre-sale tickets are available, and if you’re a Visa Signature card holder, you could be eligible to receive exclusive ticket savings of over 20% to SF Chefs 2010 and much more. To find out more information about the event and to purchase your pre-sale tickets visit

For all of you foodies, as part of the event Visa Signature and the National Pork Board will present SF Chefs 2010 Restaurant Week in San Francisco, from August 9th to August 15th, 2010. This is a great way to experience some of the great, notable restaurants San Francisco has to offer. To find the list of participating restaurants visit

Of course no post is complete without a photo. So to keep with the San Francisco theme, I hope you enjoy this photo of the Golden Gate bridge I snapped a few years ago…

Until next time…

Valentine’s Day Afternoon

15 Feb

This year Valentine’s Day was a pretty casual one for us. We didn’t plan ahead and made no dinner reservations. In fact we had dinner with my parents at home. Instead we made last minute plans to meet up with friends in Tiburon, during the beautiful, sunny afternoon.

So we took a drive over the Golden Gate bridge to Guaymas Restaurant in Tiburon for some chips…

…and some tasty flautas.

It was a nice, relaxing afternoon during an unusually sunny and warm winter day, with some really tasty snacks.

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend!

Happy Holidays!!!

07 Dec

The holiday season is once again upon us. The SITS girls came up with the great SITSmas idea.
To join in the holiday spirit, I want to wish everyone happy holidays! I hope you all enjoy this holiday season and spend whatever holiday you may be celebrating with family and friends.

For those of you celebrating Hanukkah on December 11th…
